Kokanee is a 1998 brown tobiano pinto. Even though she is registered as a pinto, she is a purebred
paint horse. Unfortunately her dam wasn't registered, and since the APHA registry was closed to horses with only one documented
paint parent, she was excluded.

Kokanees great-great-grandsire was Mister J. Bar a 1961 sorrel overo stallion. Mister J. Bar was built
like a halter horse and performed like a rope horse. He was said to have been born on this earth with cow in him. This early
APHA stallion holds five national championship titles:
-1964 Reserve National Champion 3 year old Stallion
-1965 National Champion Aged Stallion
-1965 National Champion Roping Horse
-1966 National Champion Get of Sire
-1967 National Champion Get of Sire

Kokanees great-great-grandsire was Dual Image, a 1961 sorrel overo. In 1967, at the age of 6, Dual Image
became APHAs first "triple crown" winner by taking Grand Champion Stallion at the three big stock shows of the time. Dual
was also trained in western pleasure and placed 2nd out of 26 in his first class, and after two shows achieved his ROM in
western pleasure.

Aug 25 & 26, 2007 - MLHA All Breed Show and Challenge. Kokanee took 1st in her halter class and then
went on to win Breed Champion!
Aug 22 - 24, 2008 - We were at the MLHA All Breed and Challenge Show this weekend. Kokanee won 1st in her
halter class, and then took Breed Champion in halter! She also took a 2nd and a 4th in a couple other classes.
